Hi! I am Diane Ellis and I live on the mid north coast of NSW at Pacific Palms (that's me on the right in the photo, and my sister Yvonne on the left). I love growing my own vegetables, herbs and fruit, but for a long time I was a "plant it and pray" gardener. I never seemed to plant at the right time, or fertilise when I should, so my harvests were a bit hit and miss.
But then one year I got a huge crop of carrots and parsnips - I was hooked! I wanted to learn how to do this every year, and with everything I planted, so I started doing some research. I couldn't believe how hard it was to get all the information in one place. I ended up with piles and piles of notes and articles ripped out of magazines. Then it was a nightmare trying to find the notes I'd made on a particular subject when I wanted it.
And that's why Seed Sow Grow was born!
I figured if I had this much trouble, so must other people. My sister Yvonne and I decided to put together everything we had learned and researched and tested and put it together in one place - the Seed Sow Grow Planting Guide.
We are not experts, and we don't pretend to be. But we do love growing our own food, sharing ideas and tips, and recipes for all that leftover harvest!
